Over the winter we have been reading various rumors and bits of gossip about DYE branching into snow sports, but there hasn’t been too much concrete information. With the PSP season opener in Galveston, Texas showing Mikko Huttunen amiss from the Ironmen back line, we figured that something is really bubbling under. We contacted Mikko and discussed a lot of recent topics.

DYE just posted a nice vid of the trip to Finland this summer. Mikko, Pete and Devon spent a bit of time in Kuopio and Helsinki, enjoying fishing and (not surprisingly) – Paintball. They played with Takeover in Kuopio and hosted a DYE Pro Day with us in Helsinki. Check out the video from below:
Wow, a week has already flown since we had the privilege of having Mikko, Pete and Devon with us for a great day of pro player tips, tricks and drills – sorry about the delay. If you missed the event, you really missed out on a lot of good stuff and there is no excuse for you. Except maybe for Hilu, who called us early in the morning quite upset complaining that “for NINE MONTHS she has been swelling up slowly and steadily, going past the due date just to give birth TODAY! Yes, I know most of you are waiting for a wrapup of last fridays event, the Pro Clinic hosted by Helsinki Cyclone and starred by Mikko Huttunen (LA Ironmen), Pete Utsching (Budapest Bullets) and Devon Stutz (London Nexus). And some of you might also be waiting for photos of the event…
…well, I can promise you that the story and the photos will be up shortly and here are a few teaser pics for you to enjoy right now 
Mikko Huttunen, Pete “Mr. U” Utschig and Devon Stutz will be hosting a pro day at our training field in Tuusula on Friday, July 9th 2010 from 12.00 to 17.00 (5 PM). Due to the time constraints, the number of participants is also limited to ensure proper attention to each. We can only take 20 participants in total, and there are only a few places left!
DYE has posted a new part in their travel blog -series on youtube. This time Mikko and Rocky have been touring South Africa for a couple of weeks, doing clincs and meeting players in tournaments. They have also been able to spend some time surfing, on safaris and just chilling about. Cool stuff from South Africa, would be nice to head down there sometime.. Maybe to train with Johannesburg Dynamix? See the video below:

We received a short update from the busy man in SD, enjoy!
On the training front, Kasimir has been starting up with drills and practices with Mikko Huttunen and Eric Roberts, on this weekend he went through three hours of 1-on-1′s and a tough physical exercise session on top of that.. In the So-Cal +25 weather, that’s quite strenuous.. A few “backyard sessions” have also been up when time permits, a pic from one such:
Now that the PSP season is over, Kasimir’s training arrangements have been finalized. During the PSP off-season Kasimir will be training with Velocity Wrecking Crew, a very solid D2 & D3 team from the area. After a few weeks’ breather, VWC will start practicing on weekends. Meaning both days, naturally. Kasimir will also be doing a lot of drills with Mikko.
We will see if Kasimir is able to play some PSP events during the early part of the season 2010, we are keeping our fingers crossed!
After the few problems the PSP Webcast had in starting up, the show was absolutely astonishing, once again. It provided great moments of joy and excitement, but also one of the funniest bits I’ve seen in a while. The D4 race to 4 finals between Flip Syde and PCP VNZ had one point end in an epic moment of confusion, check out this video that was posted to youtube if you missed it:
