It might seem that this report is late on arrival but I assure you it is not. Because of Pinatubo2 in Iceland our players have been arriving home during the weekend almost a week later then scheduled. Here’s what happened:

Chilli Peppers Malaga Travel Story
As flight got canceled trough most of Europe allot of teams and players missed Malaga. CPL team Chilli Peppers had their connecting flight trough Copenhagen where they got stuck when air space closed down. Here’s some pics from the site, provided by Sam. We have 6 out of 7 guys at Malaga… One missed his flight by sleeping. He went to the airport and got on another flight, which broke down and had to return to Helsinki. Talk about bad luck (and a little bit of stupidity). Now he’s hanging at Helsinki airport (still serving) waiting for his flight.

Millennium Series 2010 Malaga – Thursday
As everyone can remember 2009 season didn’t start for Millennium Series that well in Malaga as the whole event was canceled due to strong wind. Having strong wind and stormy weather for this time of year in Fuengirola is quite typical, Now we are here again for 2010 and if weather is tomorrow morning anything like today the event will be an replay from last year. As to what did the organizers do things different for this year. Player areas are now moved to walkway side to prevent pits floating to the sea. Too bad spectators have now no way of following games on the sideline and the sea is still reaching snake side bringin in miscellaneous crap all the way to the field. Fuengirola Cup Confirmed!
It’s now officially confirmed that the first leg of Millennium Series 2010 will be held 16.-18. april at Fuengirola Beach, Spain.
There were some speculations that the tournament was supposed to take place in Portugal but today Millennium Series declared that the venue will be Fuengirola Beach. I guess it’s appropriate to lock down the spot because the tournament is only 3 months away now.
So the European season 2010 will start at the “beach” only a few weeks after the US season has started at Huntington Beach, CA.
Anyway, start gathering your board shorts, sun screen and sun glasses and get ready for the beach! See you all there!
