Philadelphia Americans’ destiny confirmed

ProPaintball.com has received short comments directly from Adam Gardner confirming the fact that the Philadelphia Americans will not be competing as a professional team in 2010. The legendary team of 20 years has always been the factory team for Smart Parts, and with their inability to support the team there is little else to do. With the team  ownership being directly tied to the Smart Parts and the Gardners, finding other sponsorship would be difficult and a “loss of face” in a way.

In the same ProPaintball.com news article, Darryl Trent of DLX Technology made a comforting promise that the Americans would return in 2011. I really do hope to see the legendary team return.

DLX Technologies’ saga continues

Darryl Trent from DLX technologies has posted a press release on propaintball.com with information on the season 2010 and DLX Technology / Luxe markers. The short press release has two significant implications. First, it is the first (?) to officially admit that Smart Parts is restructuring with a financial institution in play. The second key point is that the DLX seems to be the cash-cow for SP and possibly be the last to be cut if necessary – or that is at least the tone of the release.
