While writing the previous article on the SPBL Mikkeli Leg, I went through our team bulletin board to do a quick summary of the trainings we had prior to the last event, and I got a bit curious. Last year we also did an internal summary of statistics at our season-ender party, and I figured what the heck, I could count the practises and other general things as a blog post as well. Turns out it wasn’t such a quick little thing to do after all..

Summing up the Cyclone DYE Pro Training Day
Wow, a week has already flown since we had the privilege of having Mikko, Pete and Devon with us for a great day of pro player tips, tricks and drills – sorry about the delay. If you missed the event, you really missed out on a lot of good stuff and there is no excuse for you. Except maybe for Hilu, who called us early in the morning quite upset complaining that “for NINE MONTHS she has been swelling up slowly and steadily, going past the due date just to give birth TODAY! TODAY OF ALL DAYS!” There’s little you can add to that..

Pro Clinic photo teaser
Yes, I know most of you are waiting for a wrapup of last fridays event, the Pro Clinic hosted by Helsinki Cyclone and starred by Mikko Huttunen (LA Ironmen), Pete Utsching (Budapest Bullets) and Devon Stutz (London Nexus). And some of you might also be waiting for photos of the event…
…well, I can promise you that the story and the photos will be up shortly and here are a few teaser pics for you to enjoy right now
Rare occasions..
By stumbling around the internet video sites and being a fan of (or liking, as it now goes) everything on Facebook, you get mostly tons of pointless and repetitive c**p, kinda like your million TV channels with nothing good on, ever. Except for Family Guy. On rare occasions, however, something nice crosses your path.
Mikko Huttunen re-launches his website
After quite a bit of a dormant period, Finland’s own PRO Mikko Huttunen has re-launched his site at mikko358.com The site looks quite fresh, and has rich media content in the form of Mikko’s Blog page, and some nice videos etc in the media section. Let’s just hope that the busy traveling man finds the time to keep us all up to date.

Dye Travel Blog – Mikko and Rocky in South Africa
DYE has posted a new part in their travel blog -series on youtube. This time Mikko and Rocky have been touring South Africa for a couple of weeks, doing clincs and meeting players in tournaments. They have also been able to spend some time surfing, on safaris and just chilling about. Cool stuff from South Africa, would be nice to head down there sometime.. Maybe to train with Johannesburg Dynamix?

Uppsala Recap
Ok, a busy week so it took a bit longer to get this done, sorry. Playing in Sweden always feels like a second home with so many friendly faces from over the years, and this time was no different. Overall, a super event. We started our trip straight from work on Friday driving to Turku to catch the late ferry to Sweden. A bit of poor sleep, and we could enjoy a buffet-style breakfast on the boat before it arrived to Stockholm at 6.30 in the morning. The only problem with that was that the captains’ meeting in Uppsala was scheduled at 7 am.. Luckily, with the trusty GPS and the grreat Swedish road system, we arrived on the venue at 7.45 am, a hefty 15 minutes before the scheduled start of the games. Nice.
