Bitburg report Sponsored by Bitte ein Bit

So that tournament went quickly for us.
On thursday we played 3 games. First against Empire Venice. The game went through in tides with both teams leading. Unfortunately our end game was not good enough. That actually set the tone for the weekend.  Although we lost the game we went through to quarterfinals with best possible ED points (like goal-diference in hockey) with one win. Lleida was against us in the second game. They stayed in their break bunkers and shot their lines full. We got no control of the game and lost to better of us at 4-1.  That was the net sum of our virtual visit to sunny beaches of Malaga.

Our first game for Bitburg was supposed to be a replay the Lleida game, but they decided to ref. So against us came Amsterdam Sabotage. Points went back and forth and we ended at three points both. Guess what happened? We lost that point. That was it for Friday.

Copenhagen Synergy game started with us leading 2-0. There was an interesting false start in which we shot two guys from the brake. It seems that a ref signaled start too early, and the point was replayed. We lost that point with Nypy loosing his marker to the evil spirits.
We were leading 3-2 with only two minutes of game time. Next point we were leading 3 bodys against two. I thought it was 3 against one, with him being in the snake and started to run the tent side… But lo and behold the other bastardo just turned and saw me. Plok Plok and the game was two against two. We got the next kill with the snake guy in his bunker. And what happened is we lost that 2 on 1 lead and overtime was shortly coming. Overtime was quick with both loosing bodies, but they got through our tent side (with me walking to the pits with my hand over my head). Game over man, game over.
The game had a few iffy Ref calls, like giving one for one for deadmans talk without eliminating the player. But it’s a hard job and no hard feelings for them.

Our next game was against Dogs Thessalonik with their 2 Americanese players. Again it was all back and forth playing with both leading at some point. Again the crunch time was against us. We lead 3-1 at best, but what do you know, no victory for us.

In the end we placed something like 17. first to miss sunday. After the games we gave our last pods to our bestestest friends Sugar Daddies and we noticed that the paint had transmogrified to rubber. That should be agains the law of thermodynamics, but this sht happens some times.

Thoughts on the games: Something to work on are our game finishing. With that many games we were in lead, and no victories. Also the lull between Finnish indoor season and outdoor season affected our game. Also with some luck and a few better working markers we would have been through to sunday. But no more buts but a few Bits (Bitburgs finest beer) and to watch the Football game. We are not downtrodden, we have had fun and tight games and feel lucky to play this series. We learned that we really need more people to go to these tournaments, but the cost is of course prohibitive. Hopefully some Finnish teams will get to come to this tournament series in the future.

I’d like to dedicate this post to Sugar Daddies and Amsterdam Sabotage who both helped us in our pit. They are the porn stars of this sports and great guys to hangout with. Go see their sites at www.amsterdam-sabotage.com/ (Suggar daddies, we need a site to see your fine boddies doing their thing…)

I’ll post some pics when I get to the land of freeish internets. It feels somewhat middle agean that 1Mb of 3g costs 3 euros.

Edit: Aparently there is this new place in the internets called facetube or something, go see Sugar Daddies place: Team Mariella
