Wireless at our hotel was down the whole day yesterday so had to wait with some on location updates and pictures.
Our first game started pretty late on Friday with some natural light available. Division 1. field has the setup where netting goes up with an inflatable cage with the purpose of quicker take-down and setup. The start for Division 1 field was supposed to be delayed only 1-2h but games ended up starting for us 5.5h delayed from schedule.
As we have one player stuck in Finland we fielded Pekka Roininen that was with us to help with our pit. Pekka started to train with us this winter and this event ended up to be the first time he got to play on an full size SupAir field or in any kind of tournament. Pekka had to fill some large shoes but he did good and hold his own on the field. Our friends from Instinct Gemos where kind enough to help at our pit so big thanks to Instinct for helping out. Despite initial challenges the game started evenly points going both ways. Suggar Daddies took first point with us taking the next two. Suggar Daddies tied to 2-2 with us taking next point. At 3-2 Suggar Daddies managed to catch up and tie and take the final point to 3-4. We lost our first game but it didn’t bother us that much us as it was our first game and a good and tight one.
Our last game was the last for Friday with spot lights lighting up the field and CPH Synergy playing against us. Suggar Daddies was on the field before us so we got two guys from them to help us at the pit so big thanks to Suggar Daddies also. Second game started strong for us with gun battles going to us. Score ended with clear 4-0 to us. Our game ended around 23:00 so after dropping our bags to our hotel, BK burgers, shower and quick kit cleanup it was already 2am. On saturday we where supposed to have our last prelim game but by now you all know that didnt quite go trough.
