Following up on the post about JT Sports’ financial difficulties, there seems to be light at the end of the tunnel after all. According to View From the Deadbox, KEE Action Sports will be announcing news regarding JT Sports. It seems that KEE has agreed to partner up with the troubled manufacturer, and we will later see what the future holds for JT. An interesting point is to see will this hope extend also to the to-be-closed-down Neosho plant and JT ball manufacturing in general. The internet also reports that the official statement will be out next Monday, February 1st 2010.
DYE Heads to Zombie Nation
DYE has added one new color to their expanding range of NT’s and the latest color is called “Zombie Nation”. It’s a cool combination of red and black and zombie images and it’s definitely one of the coolest guns on the market roght now!
Now I’m eager to see what else DYE is planning to do with their guns. Maybe we’ll see a couple of other intresting color combinations before the summer and maybe it’s more difficult for me to pick the weapon of choice for the season 2010
Check out the Zombie Nation below:
Tommy Pemberton Retires Due to Injury
Dye Paintball published Tommy Pemberton’s retirement announcement on their site. To many, the message of the 24-year old Nexus powerhouse is a great surprise, as the injury was not something that happened in front of the public eye. Being plagued by constant knee problems throughout the last few seasons, Tommy went in to a double-knee surgery to fix the issues and return problem-free for the season 2010. However, during the surgery, a more serious problem was found from his right knee, and he had no possibility to continue as a profesional paintball player. Tommy will continue working in the paintball industry at DYE Europe, and will share his knowledge through numerous clinics that will be upcoming.
We are sad to hear the news, and wish Tommy all the best in his future.

NPPL Super 7 dates and registration.
So NPPL has now at the same time as Millennium Series announced most of the details for 2010. Few of the most waited details are though still missing; what pro teams and sponsors will NPPL Super 7 have for 2010? One clear sign with the fear of possibly lackin teams registering for 2010 divisions for sure could be the early bird discount on entry fees.
Hopefully NPPL can make it an succesfull year.

Fuengirola Cup Confirmed!
It’s now officially confirmed that the first leg of Millennium Series 2010 will be held 16.-18. april at Fuengirola Beach, Spain.
There were some speculations that the tournament was supposed to take place in Portugal but today Millennium Series declared that the venue will be Fuengirola Beach. I guess it’s appropriate to lock down the spot because the tournament is only 3 months away now.
So the European season 2010 will start at the “beach” only a few weeks after the US season has started at Huntington Beach, CA.
Anyway, start gathering your board shorts, sun screen and sun glasses and get ready for the beach! See you all there!

Millennium Series brings some news with changes in entry fees.
After Millennium Series did an team survey asking if teams wanted lower entry fees with smaller price pool we have now lower entry fees for 2010 season.
Would have nice to see in MS newsletter how pricepool ends up to be. Other changes are Race to 2 for Division 3. without coaching and M5 format, regular 5-man stickin for this season also. For those teams that can afford to fly in to events early enough and are willing to pay they can now hire one of the fields on thursday for some practise games.

PSP and RaceTo format team up with several US events and series.
PSP has partnered with a number of local series to bring an unified playing format with RaceTo and player database trough APPA. With the demise of 7-man format and NPPL struglin its hard to see any bright future for compeating formats. Nice to see that everyone has their dates up also. Hopefully we some day get here in Europe for Millennium Series even something as well working as PSP has with APPA Continue reading ‘PSP and RaceTo format team up with several US events and series.’ »
